The founder of Beard Avenue, Leonard offers a complete self-coaching program in his book, Guide to Lifework: Working with Integrity and Heart . I am a former journalist and bring my skills of careful questioning, perceptive listening and sensitive writing to the process of creating ethical wills for clients who would prefer to "talk through" their thoughts rather than face the tasks of writing and editing themselves. In a series of taped conversations, clients respond to a tailored set of open ended questions. I then draft a document accurately reflecting content and tone. In addition to providing this individualized service I present workshops and speak to a wide variety of audiences.

The Wisdom Box is a treasure box filled with love, joy, wisdom, and life lessons to be passed on from one generation to next. It can be used as a communication tool, to learn about and share your family history; to open up communication between generations; and to leave a legacy which reflects your personal values.

The Starter Kit includes a 7.5" by 9.5" by 3" box, with a brass latch for easy closure, a perfect-bound, 110 page journal, four note cards, and an instruction booklet with suggestions on what to include in it. You get to choose how you want to decorate the outside...decoupage, stickers, photos, etc.

For the creator of the box, it's a way of sharing and validating your life, and for the receiver, it's a gift of love.
